Training Centre
Project Location and Target Group
Located within Dedza District, Republic of Malawi.
Project Location and Target Group
Local pastors, missionaries and other church planters and workers.
Project Summary
Christian Training Centre (CTC) aims at equipping local Christian workers who are serving the Lord in rural communities but have little no opportunity of attaining Bible training due to economic, educational and other physical hindrances.
Project Background
Most Christian worker and pastors lack spiritual empowerment for them to be effective in their serving communities. Bible schools are rare and very expensive for many Malawian Pastors to join, hence CTC provides an opportunity for all levels of Christian workers to receive Bible training.
Project Description and Goals
CTC provides basic mission and bible training for local Christian workers and pastors. There are two semesters a year where students come at CTC in Dedza for 2 weeks of intensive equipping. For the other 6 months they conduct practical ministry in their own serving communities before coming back for the second semester. Missionaries from overseas and other Christian Pastors help in lecturing and monitoring.
The Church serves with the Malawi Government in Leadership Development Services in Christian missions and Ministry through its registered Bible School in Malawi known as Christian Training Centre (CTC) -

Projects
Dedza (pop: 700,000) is the main township of Dedza District, located about 85 km south of Malawi's capital, Lilongwe.
92% of its population is illiterate, and 75% of children run away from primary school because of poverty, hunger, lack of clothing, lack of parental care, hopelessness and other cultural factors.
Many destitute orphans and other vulnerable children become beggars or prostitutes -
Child trafficking is common as many of these children go begging on the border, while others are enticed by evil people to be ‘cared for’ outside Malawi. Early child marriages are common as the culture considers girls to be useless, without the need to be educated like boys.
